210 Brass Coil and Strip
Most brass alloys force a tradeoff between formability, conductivity, and corrosion resistance. C2100 doesn't. Eagle Metals manufactures 210 brass coil and strip at our precision reroll mill in Leesport, PA, custom-rolled to your exact gauge, width, and temper specifications. Orders start as low as 100 lbs. and scale up to our industry-leading 740 PIW coils.
This is the alloy that performs across demanding applications, and we're the mill that makes it to spec.
The Functionality Behind C2100 Gilding Brass
210 Gilding Brass is a wrought copper-zinc alloy composed of 94–96% copper and the balance zinc, giving it a distinctive gold-like appearance and exceptional formability.
With an electrical conductivity rating of 56% IACS and excellent soldering and brazing characteristics, C2100 delivers reliable performance in both electrical and decorative applications.
The alloy responds well to cold working processes like stamping, coining, drawing, and etching, and it maintains strong corrosion resistance throughout its service life.
Properties That Set 210 Gilding Brass Apart
C2100 stands out among copper alloys because of how well it balances strength and workability. It offers above-average tensile strength that ranges from 34 ksi in annealed condition up to 64 ksi at spring temper, making it highly adaptable across production requirements.
The alloy also accepts plating exceptionally well, serving as a preferred base for gold plate and vitreous enamel finishes.
Applications of 210 Brass Coil and Strip
The versatility of C2100 makes it a go-to alloy across a wide range of sectors. Eagle Metals manufactures 210 brass coil and strip for applications including:
- Connectors and Terminals: Valued for their electrical conductivity, formability, and consistent mechanical properties.
- Rotor Bars and AC Motors: Selected for their brazability and controlled electrical resistivity.
- Fasteners: Chosen for their moderate strength, corrosion resistance, and appearance.
- Bullet Jackets, Fuse Caps, and Firing Pins: Trusted in defense and ordnance for their deep drawing capability and stress corrosion cracking resistance.
- Coins, Emblems, Plaques, and Medals: Preferred for their coinability, gold-like finish, and ability to accept plating.
- Architectural Ornamental Trim: Specified for its visual appeal, corrosion resistance, and ease of forming.
- Auto Parts, Drilling, Engineering Machinery, Machining, Shipbuilding, and Transmission Components: Relied on for its combination of strength, workability, and durability under demanding conditions.
