High-Performance Alloys (HPAs) Supplier
Eagle Metals is a high-performance alloys supplier producing copper-nickel-silicon strip and coil that rivals beryllium copper's strength and conductivity. Beryllium copper contains potentially hazardous elements that pushes more manufacturers to limit its use on the shop floor. At Eagle Metals, our HPA’s give your team an alternative alloy that still performs under load.
Every coil rolls through our Pennsylvania mill to the gauge, temper, and tolerance your application calls for. Decades of experience serving the connector industry back every order.
High Performance Alloy Grades: 19010, 19210, 7025 & 7026 Strip and Coil
Eagle Metals rolls four copper-nickel-silicon grades in strip and coil, and each one balances strength, conductivity, and formability differently. Every grade ships to your specified temper and gauge, so the material in your prototype matches what comes off our production coils.
19010
Balances strength, conductivity, and formability, a common pick for terminals, relays, and connector components that need to hold their shape under repeated flexing.
19210
Delivers higher strength than most copper-nickel-silicon grades while holding onto the conductivity and formability needed for cooling fins and IC lead frames in heat-generating electronics.
7025
Combines strong thermal and electrical conductivity with easy solderability, giving automotive manufacturers a proven beryllium copper replacement.
7026
Holds its mechanical properties at elevated temperatures, supporting springs and high-reliability telecommunications interconnects.
Engineered to the Tolerances, Tempers, and Quantities Your Production Demands
Eagle Metals rolls HPA strip and coil to tight dimensional tolerances, so your stamped or formed parts feed and seat consistently across every production run.
Custom quantities start at 100 lbs and scale up to full 740-PIW master coils, giving you the option to order a qualification run or a production-scale coil from the same supplier. In-house annealing, edge conditioning, slitting, tension leveling, and traverse winding are part of our full range of capabilities, letting us achieve the exact temper and edge condition your process calls for.
additional copper alloy products
High quality industrial products start with precision materials. Our tight tolerance stainless steel coil delivers the tensile strength you depend on while meeting the most exacting project specifications. As an industry leader, we can supply coils of up to 740 PIW.
From Connectors to Clips, HPAs Deliver Where Beryllium Copper Falls Short
Connectors, terminals, relays, springs, sockets, and clips share one requirement: they need to carry current while holding their shape through thousands of insertion and flex cycles.
Eagle Metals' HPA grades match it without the same machining restrictions. Manufacturers in the connector industry specify HPA strip and coil when both contact force and conductivity need to hold steady.
Industries We Serve
We work hard to meet all of our customer's specifications in demanding fields and we're ready to meet your most challenging requirements.
Source HPA Strip and Coil From a Supplier That Ships to Spec, Every Time
Your production schedule doesn't leave room for a supplier shipping close-enough material. Eagle Metals is the high-performance alloys supplier that rolls HPA strip and coil to your exact temper, gauge, and quantity, then ships on your timeline. Send your spec sheet, and our team will confirm grade, tolerance, and lead time before you commit to an order.
High-Performance Alloy Supplier FAQs
Aerospace, medical device, and electronics manufacturers all specify HPA strip and coil when a component needs copper’s conductivity without beryllium copper’s handling restrictions.
In most connector, terminal, and spring designs, yes. For unusually high spring-back or contact-force requirements, compare the specific HPA temper against your original beryllium copper spec before switching.
Eagle Metals' staff metallurgists review your strength, conductivity, and forming requirements and recommend the grade and temper that fits your application.
