Grades of Low-Carbon Steel
While carbon steel, like stainless steel, is a mix of carbon and iron, it lacks the high percentage of chromium in the latter. Grades of this steel vary depending on the elements included in the mix. Eagle Metals uses three grades:
- 1006 - For softness and ductility
- 1008 - For exceptional brazeability and weldability
- 1010 - For added strength through quenching
